Since 1994, Light of the World Christian Fellowship has helped people discover the life-changing hope of Jesus Christ. What began with a calling to serve the Humble community has grown into a church family committed to sharing God’s love, building meaningful relationships, and equipping people to live with purpose.
Our heart is simple: lead people to Jesus, connect them to a community of faith, and prepare them to make a difference wherever God sends them.

Jacqueline Martin

Lead Pastor

Pastor Jacqueline “Jackie” Martin is a co-founder and the Lead Pastor of Light of the World Christian Fellowship. For more than 31 years, she has served the church in a variety of leadership roles. Today, she provides spiritual leadership and oversees its ministries.

Pastor Jackie accepted God’s call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and was licensed as a minister in 1996. She was later ordained as a pastor of Light of the World Christian Fellowship.Her passion is to help people know God, understand who they are in Him, and become equipped and empowered to fulfill their purpose. She believes transformed people can bring hope and lasting change to the world around them.Pastor Jackie is married to Pastor Jerry Martin. Together, they are the proud parents of Jasmine, Jessica, and Jarrett.

Jerry Martin

Executive Pastor

Pastor Jerry G. Martin is the Executive Pastor and a co-founder of Light of the World Christian Fellowship, established in Humble, Texas, in 1994. A Houston native, Pastor Jerry grew up in the Fifth Ward in a family deeply rooted in ministry. His father served as a pastor, and four of his brothers also became pastors. That spiritual heritage helped shape his lifelong commitment to sharing the gospel and serving others.

His ministry extends beyond the local church. Pastor Jerry serves on the boards of Children’s Refuge and The Heart of Texas Foundation and is Executive Director of the Light of the World Community Development Corporation. His radio program, The Light of the World, reaches listeners in eight cities across Texas.Pastor Jerry attended Kashmere Gardens High School, Los Angeles City College, and the College of Biblical Studies. He and his wife, Pastor Jackie, have three children: Jasmine, Jessica, and Jarrett.



Why We Exist

We exist to share the hope of Jesus Christ with our neighbors and communities around the world.

We are committed to helping people grow into mature followers of Christ and preparing the next generation to live with faith, courage, and purpose. Together, we worship God, build authentic relationships, and encourage the spiritual, social, and economic well-being of every person. God has given each of us unique gifts and we believe those gifts are meant to be used. By equipping people to serve, we bring the love of Christ beyond the walls of our church and into the communities around us.
